My college computer lab has a great many utilities which help us in understanding the various aspects of the subject.The Computer Lab Coordinator is responsible to provide computer client services, software, hardware and network support to academic and outside clients in the student-accessed computer facilities. In addition the incumbent will assist with administrative,hardware and software support, and the hiring, training and supervision of part-time staff. Computers are used in almost every walk of life. Actually we live in a time where everything is largely dependent on the use of the computers.

My college computer lab is very special because it incorporates a great many of essential and useful features in itself. The lab houses more than 60 computers and the computers in the lab have the recent versions of the software. It has a hard writing surface on each computer table, so that the students have no problem while taking notes. My college computer lab also has a high speed internet with which helps us greatly in doing any research work. It also has a whiteboard and flip chart sheets as well as markers for making it simpler to teach for the teachers.

Additionally, the college computer lab has convenient air circulation system. A good air circulation system is quite important in a computer lab for mainly two reasons, firstly so as to protect the components from overheating and secondly for the comfort of the users.

Students can learn to make various subject related researches using the computer; also they can use it to make various projects in college. Likewise my College also has a very high facility computer lab. My college computer lab has a great many utilities which help us in understanding the various aspects of the subject.computers have been the way towards the future.



It is predicted that in the future almost 97% of our daily activities will depend in one way or the other on the use of computers. The educators at my College have understood the importance of computer education and they are doing everything in their hands to give it to each and every one of its students.

Providing us with computer labs is one great step take by the College authorities towards teaching computer literacy within the college.

 Chemistry is the study of matter and energy and the changes that they undergo. Everything that is known in the physical universe is made up of either matter or energy and the rest is just empty space. Chemistry is often referred to as the central science. All other branches of the physical sciences touch upon the subject of chemistry and indeed, here at UH Hilo all majors in the Natural Sciences Division except for Mathematics and Physics are required to take courses in Chemistry.

Why Study Chemistry

Chemists contribute in a myriad of ways to our society today and will continue to do so practically and theoretically. This notion becomes more apparent as we head into a future that is becoming more technologically oriented. Our lives are becoming more dependent upon what chemistry can do. The study of life itself can be approached as a question of chemistry. Chemistry is omnipresent and it can be overwhelming, however, it can also be enlightening and comforting to be able to have a better understanding of our physical universe by studying Chemistry.

The mission of the undergraduate degree program in chemistry is to offer a general and specific set of courses in several areas in chemistry that will provide students within its majors a fundamental understanding, through qualitative and quantitative reasoning, of matter and energy and the changes that they undergo. The program is designed to prepare students for advanced degrees in graduate or professional programs and for students who are seeking to immediately enter the work force as teachers and technicians. Because few students major in chemistry, graduates tend to find options for further study and career opportunities.

We review of the interface between (theoretical) physics and information for non-experts. The origin of information as related to the notion of entropy is described, first in the context of thermodynamics then in the context of statistical mechanics. A close examination of the foundations of statistical mechanics and the need to reconcile the probabilistic and deterministic views of the world leads us to a discussion of chaotic dynamics, where information plays a crucial role in quantifying predictability.

We also discuss an alternative form of entropy and its possible relevance for nonequilibrium thermodynamics. In the final part of the paper we discuss how quantum mechanics gives rise to the very different concept of quantum information. Entirely new possibilities for information storage and computation are possible due to the massive parallel processing inherent in quantum mechanics. We also point out how entropy can be extended to apply to quantum mechanics to provide a useful measurement for quantum entanglement.

Science is different than other subjects. It is not just the subject of science that is different; the entire process of doing science is different. The means by which knowledge is acquired is different in science than it is in history or mathematics or poetry or … . Science is different because the answers to scientific questions are not found in a textbook or through pondering high and lofty thoughts. Indeed, scientists ponder and hopefully think high and lofty thoughts; and indeed students in science class will find answers in a textbook. But the basis of what scientists believe and why they believe it is not the result of mere thinking or reading in a textbook. The Smart Board interactive whiteboard operates as part of a system that includes the interactive whiteboard, a computer, a projector and whiteboarding software – either Smart Notebook collaborative learning software for education, or Smart Meeting Pro software for business. The components are connected wirelessly or via USB or serial cables.


A projector connected to the computer displays the desktop image on the interactive whiteboard. The whiteboard accepts touch input from a finger, pen or other solid object. 

 Older models rely on an external projector to work but certain projector-based models have an integrated projector built in to the top of the Board. The newest models can display UHD graphics and are self-contained flat panels which do not need a projector. Some of these self-contained flat panel models are also equipped with a motion sensor on the bottom-right corner of the board.

This sensor can save power by putting the Smart Board to sleep when no movement is detected. The Smart Board will then automatically wake itself up when movement is detected, such as when a teacher, pupil or employee enters the room
